因为未能有效限制13岁以下儿童注册和使用服务，TikTok先前被英国当局罚款超过1,200万英镑，如今再有政府机构表示会向TikTok展开调查。越南政府日前预告，将会在今年5月开始针对TikTok在当地的运营情况，展开多方面的调查。
这次调查的方向包括TikTok在内容管理是否合规，有没有按照当地法律纳税和遵守相关商业法规。越南广电及电子消息部门日前发出声明，指TikTok放任其平台发布恶毒、具攻击性、虚假和迷信的内容，强调TikTok作为跨国社交媒体平台，无论是内容发布还是商业和税务都必须遵守越南法律。
TikTok在今年2月曾经透露，政府会派员在第二季到访越南办事处进行调查。在越南拥有5,000万名18岁以上用户的TikTok，指检查是政府的既定行动，适用于所有在越南运营的公司。TikTok又表示会在4月24日实施，更加透明的全新准则，又会强化落实方式以配合当地法规。根据TikTok公开的资料，单单在2022年第四季度，平台就按越南政府要求，删除违法视频约170万条。
