菲律宾司法部(DOJ)部长克里斯平·雷穆拉(Jesus Crispin "Boying" Remulla)周五表示，政府在一些大公司用来逃税的“假收据”骗局中损失了大约500亿披索。
雷穆拉在记者会上表示：“使用假收据就是骗局。它是为了逐项扣除费用而提交的，这些是提交假收据作为扣除，这违反了国家国内税收法和修订后的刑法。这是一种系统性欺骗政府的方式。”
今年三月，菲律宾厘务局对四家与合法企业进行虚假交易以帮助他们逃避缴纳正确税款的“幽灵”公司提起刑事诉讼，初步调查显示政府因此少收255亿披索的税收。
司法部长表示，一名商人是制作假文件的公司的创办人之一。他说：“他是公司投资人之一，也是这些公司的高级管理人员之一。目击者或证人也提到他是这个骗局的主谋。”
