先前為了防疫需求，全球不少企業啟動員工遠端工作，但隨著武漢肺炎（新型冠狀病毒病，COVID-19）疫情陰霾逐漸散去，現在老闆也要求員工要回到辦公室工作。繼特斯拉（Tesla）和亞馬遜（Amazon）之後，Meta將要求已返回辦公室的員工，自9月5日起，每週回辦公室工作3天。
根據華爾街日報報導，Meta要求員工自9月5日開始，每週到辦公室工作3天。Meta於本週四通知員工其新的遠程工作政策，此舉不會影響目前在遠端工作的員工，這項政策僅適用於已在辦公室工作了幾天的員工。
關於新政策的備忘錄，員工目前平均每週在辦公室工作2.2天，大約75%的公司員工在辦公室工作。
Meta發言人表示，我們致力於分散工作，並且我們相信人們可以在辦公室和家中都能產生有意義的影響力。
不久前，Meta才裁員約1萬人，裁員橫跨Facebook、WhatsApp、Messenger、Instagram 和 Reality Labs。
