又一大將出走！曾寫出 Transformer 論文的共同作者 Llion Jones 離開 Google

《Attention Is All You Need》在 2017 年出版，就是這篇論文提出 Transformer 的概念轟動矽谷，成為日後 AI 基石之一。隨著 Jones 的離開，該論文的 8 位作者已無一留在 Google。
Google 近日並不平靜，除了 AR 軟體負責人離職之外，根據《彭博社》（Bloomberg）報導，AI 大將 Llion Jones 也即將離開 Google。Llion Jones 曾經與其他研究者人合著了一篇具有相當地位的 AI 論文《Attention Is All You Need》，隨著 Jones 的離開，該論文的 8 位作者已無一留在 Google。
《Attention Is All You Need》在 2017 年出版，這篇 AI 論文當初轟動了整個矽谷，正是這篇論文介紹了影響了日後AI 發展的重大概念 「Transformer」。Transformer 是現在大型語言模型的關鍵，是 OpenAI 的 ChatGPT 等流行聊天機器人的基礎。 （原論文網址）
論文發表後，合著這篇論文的研究者們也創辦了幾間著名的矽谷公司，像是為企業客戶提供大型語言模型的 Cohere 以及讓使用者可以創造仿名人、仿歷史人物聊天機器人的 Character.AI。
