搶走三星生意！Google Pixel 手機純客製化晶片 傳將由台積電製造

Google 將委託台積電生產其 Pixel 系列智慧手機的首款純客製化晶片。不過得先跟三星合作一年之後，2025 年才會和台積電合作推出這款純客製化晶片。

科技新聞網站 The Information 引述消息人士報導，Google 將委託台積電生產其 Pixel 系列智慧手機的首款純客製化晶片，雖然這項計畫目前將延後至少一年，要到 2025 年以後才會開始生產。
報導指出，Google 原本計劃明年推出這款內部代號為「Redondo」的晶片，取代目前與三星共同設計的半客製化晶片。但現在 Google 決定繼續再與三星合作一年，並且要到 2025 年才會推出內部代號為「Laguna」的純客製化晶片。
報導說，在 Google 改用純客製化晶片的同時，該公司也將改委託台積電代工生產晶片。先前三星不只協助 Google 設計，也協助生產晶片。
