5名中国人在拉斯皮纳斯市网络博彩公司被捕，有更多时间反驳人口贩卖指控

2023 年 6 月 27 日，在对拉斯皮纳斯市一家菲律宾离岸博彩运营商 (POGO) 设施的突击搜查中，5名中国公民被捕，他们被要求在 8 月 9 日之前反驳针对他们提出的人口贩运指控。
5名外国人的法律顾问梅尔文·贝穆德斯 (Melvin Bermudez) 律师表示，7 月 19 日星期三，司法部 (DOJ) 举行的听证会批准了延长提交反宣誓书的时间。
贝穆德斯说，除了语言障碍之外，他还将外国人客户的拘留视为提交反宣誓书的困难之一。
被指控的5名中国公民分别是李某诚、刘某、严某勇、段某专和宏某。
他们是在菲律宾国家警察反网络犯罪小组 (PNP-ACG) 特工在拉斯皮纳斯市的一个离岸博彩公司设施中进行的突袭中被捕的，此次突袭中大约有 2,700 人获救，其中包括据称是人口贩运受害者的菲律宾人和外国人。
贝穆德斯表示，他早些时候代表客户向拉斯皮纳斯市地区审判法院（RTC）提交了人身保护令请愿书。他没有透露初审法院请愿书的进展情况。
早些时候，司法部长耶稣·克里斯平·C·雷穆拉 (Jesus Crispin C. Remulla) 表示，6 月 27 日拉斯皮纳斯市突袭中被捕和获救的人目前由移民局拘留。
