報告援引未透露姓名的政府消息人士的話稱，由印度財政部長尼爾馬拉·西塔拉曼 (Nirmala Sitharaman) 擔任主席、各邦財政部長組成的委員會將決定是對玩網絡遊戲的存入資金總額徵收一次，還是每次徵收業界擔心這會導致重複徵稅。
自政府於7月11日首次宣布徵稅計劃以來，博彩業及其投資者已要求政府重新審查該決定，這將增加企業和消費者的稅收負擔。
上週，Tiger Global、Peak XV 和 Steadview Capital 等 30 家國內外投資者要求總理納倫德拉·莫迪 (Narendra Modi) 審查該稅收，稱該徵稅將對 40 億美元的潛在投資產生不利影響。
