菲律賓參議員埃斯庫德羅(Francis Escudero)近日表示，完全禁止網絡BC或菲離岸BC運營商(POGO)展開業務可能會導致加稅。
埃斯庫德羅支出，他不可避免地預見政府將通過加稅來抵消因禁止網絡BC而導致的損失。
他在記者會上表示：“如果我們完全禁止網絡BC行業，政府可能不得不加稅，因為我們需要彌補禁令所造成的任何收入損失。由於網絡BC，菲娛樂BC公司的收入增加了數倍。
他補充道：“我希望大家能夠放眼大局，因為並非所有網絡BC公司都名聲不好。我不認為僅僅因為存在一些壞蛋，就該立即禁止它們。我不同意這種原則和政策，除非禁令涵蓋所有賭博行為。但這並不意味著我會容忍任何錯誤行為、任何人口販運或違法行為。違反法律法規的網絡BC公司就應該被查封和禁止。”
