The state’s sports betting handle increased by 20 per cent year-on-year.

US.- New York’s mobile sports betting handle was $962.1m in July, up 20 per cent year-on-year but 17.5 per cent lower than in June of this year ($1.17bn). It was the first time New York’s monthly handle has fallen below $1bn since August last year. 

According to the New York Gaming Commission, revenue reached $105.1m, up 43.4 per cent from July last year and 1.3 per cent ahead of June.

FanDuel remained the most popular sportsbook, with $41.09m in revenue from a $384.6m handle. In second place was DraftKings, which registered $41.08m from $340.4m. Caesars generated $8.6m from a $111.1m handle, while BetMGM recorded $6.7m from $65m. Rush Street Interactive posted $3.2m from a $35.7m handle.

Operators paid $53.6m in taxes, while the sportsbooks took $51.5m.
