中国游客可以在抵达泰国时直接入境，而且无需支付申请签证所需的费用
9月1日，泰国总理赛塔就刺激国家经济的举措接受媒体采访。他特别强调了今年第四季度的旅游计划，着重关注了旅游业，尤其是为中国游客提供更便捷的签证服务。中国游客是一个重要的旅游群体 ，有高购买力。但多方也对免签表达担忧，如果实行免签政策，可能存在安全问题。赛塔对此澄清，他所提到的“免签”措施是指不需要申请签证，游客可以在抵达泰国时直接入境，而且无需支付申请签证所需的费用。赛塔进一步表示，这一政策愿景一直在讨论之中，并且他相信各部门均已明确了这一点。他强调，取消签证仅在旅游旺季实施，是一项暂时的措施。
赛塔指出，他已经与外交部、泰国民航局以及代理内政部长等相关部门进行了深入讨论，他们一致同意并积极准备推动这一政策。预计这一免签政策将于2023年10月1日正式实施。
这一措施的实施将为泰国的旅游业带来积极影响，有望吸引更多中国游客前来泰国旅游，促进旅游业的发展和经济的复苏。
