Google Domains 已不再賣新網域，正式由 Squarespace 收購

Google Domains 的既有用戶仍可以管理自己的網域，畫面上消息也出現Squarespace 為網域的登記員，而在過渡時期則由 Google 來管理網域。
今年 6 月 Google 宣布不再經營 Google Domains 將由 Squarespace 收購，雙方交易於 9 月 7 日完成，Google 從該日起便不再出售網域，並於網站上表示「Squarespace 已於 9 月 7 日收購所有 Google Domains 註冊網域和相關客戶帳戶。客戶和網域將在接下來幾個月內轉移至 Squarespace。」
Google 並未特別宣布用戶無法買新網域，且網站上的訊息似乎要在登出或開啟無痕視窗的狀態下才會看到，Google 也未透過 email 通知用戶。
不過 Google Domains 的既有用戶仍可以管理自己的網域，畫面上消息也出現Squarespace 為網域的登記員，而在過渡時期則由 Google 來管理網域。
Squarespace 網域的起價為每年 12 美元，與 Google 的起價相同。另外，WordPress 也藉機吸引用戶，宣布前 100 萬個從 Google 離開的網域，將由 WordPress 來支付轉移的費用。
