A construction worker has been injured while working on the Fontainebleau Las Vegas casino resort. Resort officials confirmed the news on Monday, adding that the employee “is currently in stable condition” and an investigation is “ongoing.” Officials did not have any further comment.

The news comes exactly two weeks after VegasSlotsOnline News reported some concerning claims made regarding the work site. An anonymous source claiming to be a construction worker on the Las Vegas Strip property said that multiple pieces of glass had fallen from the tower, landing on the pool deck.

The source, whose claims were shared on social media, said that the developers could not find contractors to replace the glass or “make it safe.” Despite the supposed issues, they said, the casino developers still planned to launch in December. Las Vegas guide and media personality Jen G shared the claims on her X account:

Whether or not these supposed issues were linked to the injured construction worker are unclear. No specifics are known regarding the worker’s actual injuries. Nevada’s Occupational Health and Safety Administration did not respond when the Las Vegas Review-Journal asked if it was investigating.

In a similar story, a construction worker died while working on an F1 grandstand on the Las Vegas Strip last month. Just one week prior, a carpenter union member had warned that the construction sites were unsafe due to the use of out-of-state unqualified laborers.
