Greenspin, Slotman, Jeetcity, Betibet, and ten other online gambling companies have been the subject of red flags raised by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). Because of its claims that all of these sites violate the Interactive Gambling Act of 2001, the ACMA has the right to request blocking orders from Australian internet service providers (ISPs).

The ACMA is working to stop illicit internet gambling in Australia, and this action is part of that effort. 893 illicit gambling and associated websites have had access to their website successfully restricted by ACMA since its first request in November 2019. More than two dozen illicit providers have voluntarily left the Australian market since the ACMA began enforcing stronger regulations against offshore gaming in 2017.

The ACMA said that one of the enforcement tools available to shield Australians from illicit online gaming is website blocking. Customers should exercise caution, the authority stressed, as even services that appear to be reputable may not provide basic consumer safeguards. The use of illicit gambling services carries a far larger risk of financial loss.

The proactive strategy employed by ACMA seeks to protect Australian consumers against the dangers connected to illicit internet gaming. The government cautions people that using these services puts their financial security at risk, no matter how they look. These unofficial sites pose a special danger to consumers because they lack essential consumer safeguards.

The ACMA reaffirmed its resolve to take tough measures against illegal gambling enterprises in the nation in October when it issued blocking orders against BetUS and Wild Blaster. The regulatory body’s commitment to upholding the integrity of Australia’s online gaming market is demonstrated by these steps.

The ACMA is unwavering in its resolve to safeguard Australian consumers and impose strict penalties on operators violating the Interactive Gambling Act, even while the list of prohibited brands keeps expanding.
