The Caesars Sportsbook app in Mississippi has begun accepting mobile sports wagers at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi.

Players can make deposits anywhere in the state but, confusingly (as per state law) can only place bets at the land-based casino’s Caesars Sportsbook.

The Caesars Sportsbook Mississippi app allows players to make sports wagers after registering with the land-based Caesars Sportsbook location, originally taking bets from on-property players at Harrah’s Gulf Coast beginning in 2018.  

Caesars Sportsbook at Harrah’s Gulf Coast offers a range of amenities including bar games, self-service betting kiosks and VIP semi-private spaces, otherwise known as Fan Caves. With the app, deposits can be made from anywhere in the state, though wagers must still be placed at the property.  

Via the app, players will be able to access live scoreboards, daily odds boosts and promotions, with a variety of betting options including same-game parlays, proposition bets and others.  

The app’s launch has come alongside several promotions and giveaways for those placing their first bet at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, with team members on hand to guide guests through the registration process. 

On the launch, Caesars Digital President Eric Hession said: “The launch of our Caesars Sportsbook mobile app at Harrah’s Gulf Coast is a game-changer for sports fans who visit the world-class destination. Enhancing the fan experience remains a key focus for us across jurisdictions where we operate and bringing mobile wagering online in Mississippi builds on that.” 

It has been a busy month for Caesars, with the sportsbook extending its partnership with the NHL at the start of March, allowing league-themed games on the operator's site.

The operator was also recognised by the Responsible Gambling Council’s RG check program, being accredited for responsible gaming practices.
