Flutter Entertainment has hired former Spotify executive Mark Shaw as Director of Global Payments Strategy for the NYSE gambling group.

Shaw is recognised as an expert in designing, optimising and operating payment systems of mass market organisations, having formerly led payment divisions for VISA Europe, Barclays and TSB.

Of significance in his tenure as Director of Global Payments for Spotify, Shaw is credited with redeveloping the music streaming app’s payment frameworks to enable “user choice billing across 160 markets, delivering significant incremental subscribers in the first 12 months.”

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Shaw shared that he has been leading Flutter’s payments operations for one month.
