

Iowa commission sets timeline for Cedar Rapids gaming license applications
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has approved a timeline for Linn County’s application for a gaming license. This marks the third attempt to bring a casino to Cedar Rapids.
Developer Peninsula Pacific Entertainment, P2E, alongside the Linn County Gaming Association, have worked together for years to apply for the license and build a $250 million casino. They said a lot of the content of the application remains the same as before a two-year moratorium on gaming in the state was passed in 2022.
The approved timeline and steps the commission, the developer and its partners have to follow [starts with] August 15: Due date for market study proposals.
