GAT Events has forged an alliance with AIEJA, the Association the Entertainment and Gaming Industry in Mexico, led by Miguel Angel Ochoa, to host GAT Caribe Cancun. AIEJA will hold its year-end General Assembly on November 26, within the framework of this innovative event, attracting all its members, including casino groups, manufacturers, suppliers, online platforms, and related business partners.

GAT Caribe Cancun will place special emphasis on the emerging trends in the booming sectors of online casinos, sports betting, and e-sports, which are experiencing unstoppable growth and transforming the digital entertainment industry. High-speed internet access has popularized these games in Mexico, offering a market of more than 80 million people the technological capability to play or bet from mobile devices. The increasing social acceptance of online casinos is encouraging more international operators to enter the market, providing Mexican players access to a variety of gaming platforms without significant restrictions.

In Mexico, the regulatory body is the Secretaría de Gobernación through its General Directorate of Gaming and Sweepstakes, there are more than 230 physical casinos operating in the country, with regulatory improvements expected to spur their growth with greater legal certainty.
