Hard Rock Casino of Northern Indiana and the Urban League of Northwest Indiana have partnered to start a new scholarship program to benefit Gary high school graduates attending Indiana University Northwest.

The Do Well by Doing Good scholarship program will cover the cost of tuition for up to 30 high school graduates from the Steel City annually while they attend IUN.

The award is open to incoming freshman at the university who graduated from any Gary high school (traditional public, charter, private or home-school) with at least a 2.5 GPA and has completed at least 30 hours of community service. In order to maintain eligibility, recipients will need to have at least a 2.5 GPA annually while at IUN.
