Evoke plc is set to become the fourth largest B2C operator in Romania by acquiring a majority stake in Winner.ro owner New Gambling Solutions (NGS) SRL. Evoke will receive a 51% stake in the company, which is the seventh largest operator in the country, for a €10m cash injection.

Evoke’s existing 888.ro brand will then be brought under NGS to create a combined entity with a 7% Romanian market share, the fourth largest nationwide.

CEO Per Widerström said: “I am excited to announce the addition of Winner to the evoke portfolio.

“This acquisition is consistent with our strategy to build sustainable market-leading profitable positions in the most attractive markets.”
