Gaming and Leisure Properties, a real estate investment trust that owns 65 casinos across the United States, has promoted Brandon Moore to President, and he will continue as Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Secretary and report to GLPI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Peter Carlino.

“Brandon has played an instrumental role in all of GLPI’s growth and success since we established North America’s first gaming-focused real estate investment trust over ten years ago,” Carlino said in a news release. “With his strong legal background, fourteen-year experience in the gaming industry, involvement in the tax-free spin that created GLPI, and over 10 years of success as a leader in the REIT industry, I am delighted to have Brandon take on the role of President at GLPI.”

GLPI was created as a spin-off of Penn Entertainment in 2014. Moore served the company from close to its inception, first working as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Penn Entertainment provides the technology for ESPN Bet, which recently got approval to launch in New York. Before joining GLPI, Moore worked for Penn National Gaming, which is now Penn Entertainment, as Vice President, Senior Corporate Counsel.
