

Wyoming: September sports betting handle up 18 percent year-over-year
Wyoming had sports betting handle of more than $22.8 million in September, a more than 18 percent increase year-on-year and a more than 87 percent jump over August, the Wyoming Gaming Commission has reported.
Operators took home revenues of more than $2.9 million from this sports betting handle, with the state collecting just less than $145,000 in taxes. The market is benefiting from the launch of Fanatics Sportsbook this year.
Meanwhile, skill-based amusement games collected more than $12.4 million in revenues, paying out more than $9.3 million to players, to leave operators with proceeds of nearly $3.1 million. The Wyoming Gaming Commission applies a 20 percent tax to skill-based amusement game proceeds, collecting almost $620,000 in taxes in September.
