The Canadian Gaming Summit is set to make its return to Toronto from June 17-19, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, and innovators for the largest Pan-Canadian gaming and betting event.

With a renewed focus on driving critical conversations on regulatory shifts, emerging technologies, and market expansion, this year’s summit will ensure that voices from coast to coast—including provincial regulators and First Nations gaming leaders—help shape the industry's future.

The 28th edition of this legacy event, set at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, will bring together 3,000 industry professionals, including 1,000 operators, 200 affiliates, 150 expert speakers, and 75 top-tier exhibitors. With a dynamic conference agenda and high-level networking opportunities, the event will be the key meeting point for the who’s who of Canada’s gaming and betting industry.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, commented: “The Canadian Gaming Summit continues to evolve as the premier gathering for industry leaders across the country. With dynamics shifting and new opportunities emerging, this year’s event will provide a vital platform for meaningful discussions that shape the future of gaming in Canada. From the latest innovations to critical policy debates, we’re bringing together the brightest minds to drive the industry forward.”

The Crown Corporation Lounge will return to the show floor following its successful 2024 debut, where it hosted some of Canada’s leading crown corporations in the gaming and betting sector. As provincial gaming authorities and state-run operators play a critical role in shaping Canada’s regulated market, this exclusive space will serve as a dedicated hub for discussions on policy, innovation, and the future of government-operated gaming.

The 2025 agenda for the event will tackle the political and regulatory shifts shaping the industry, with key discussions on Bill S-269, Ontario Court of Appeal rulings, and evolving advertising restrictions impacting operators. Panels on responsible gambling and consumer protection will examine self-exclusion measures, AI-driven player protection, and the unintended consequences of regulatory policies, ensuring a balanced conversation between compliance and consumer safety.

The conference will also spotlight betting and casino innovation, with sessions on micro-betting, omnichannel casino strategies, and the future of online gambling in Alberta. Panels on First Nations gaming, digital payment innovations, and affiliate revenue models will explore new pathways for market expansion, as industry leaders delve into regulatory changes and business strategies driving the next phase of gaming in Canada.

The Player Protection Symposium, previously held as a pre-conference event, will now be fully integrated into the core agenda at this year’s summit. Taking place on Thursday, 19 June, this change ensures that all summit attendees can engage with the latest developments in player protection and actively contribute to discussions on ensuring player safety.

A key addition to this year’s agenda, the Cybersecurity Symposium will tackle the growing digital threats facing Canada’s gaming industry. With online expansion and regulatory shifts accelerating, operators must stay ahead of cyber risks and fraud to protect their businesses and players. Bringing together cybersecurity experts, operators, and regulators, the symposium will explore emerging threats and provide solutions to safeguard Canada’s gaming ecosystem.

A strong networking environment is fundamental to SBC events, ensuring attendees have multiple touchpoints to connect, collaborate, and expand their professional circles. The Canadian Gaming Summit 2025 will feature two evening networking events, hosted in iconic venues that reflect the spirit of Canadian sports and entertainment.

On Tuesday, the summit’s Opening Party will be held at RS Sports Bar, offering a relaxed space for attendees to gather, pick up their badges, and establish early connections. On Wednesday, the Hockey Hall of Fame will host an exclusive networking evening, immersing guests in a venue that embodies Canada’s deep-rooted hockey heritage, iconic sports moments, and legendary players.
