WSOP Main Event Set For July 3-17 At Paris And Horseshoe On The Strip

The World Series of Poker returns for 2024, beginning May 28 at various locations and culminating with the Main Event Final Table July 16-17 at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. The Main Event will run for two weeks at the Horseshoe and Paris, beginning July 3.

There will be 99 bracelets available for the 55th annual event, and a total of about 700 poker tables will be offered.

A record 10,043 people entered the event last year before Atlanta’s Daniel Weinman was crowned champion. Weinman was the first American to win the WSOP Main Event since 2018, and won a record $12.1 million.

WSOP’s Main Event will open with a new Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout, which requires a $5,000 buy-in. Any players who knock out a former Main Event champion get an automatic entry into the 2024 WSOP Main Event. All living Main Event champions will be given a free entry to play in the event.

Online registration via BravoPokerLive.com begins in May and those registering online will be required to appear at the Champagne Ballroom at Paris Las Vegas to have their identities verified. In-person registration at the Champagne Ballroom begins May 28 at 9 a.m. PDT and will remain open 24 hours a day (with a break from 5-6:30 a.m.) through July 17. Participants must present valid photo identification, their Caesars Rewards card, and payment to enter events. Entrants are also required to provide a secondary form of ID, which would be a bill with a home address, to register.

“With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers and everyone in between,” Ty Stewart, SVP and executive director of the WSOP, said via press release. “If you’re a poker player, there is simply no experience on earth like the World Series of Poker.”
