Virginia: Fairfax County residents tell Board of Supervisors to oppose proposed casino
The “No Casino Coalition,” a group of Fairfax County residents who oppose a proposed Tysons casino as “unwelcome and unwanted, are now calling for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to publicly reject the casino’s construction by two local megadevelopers, Comstock Holding Companies and the Clemente Development Company.
Sally Horn, a member of the No Casino Coalition, attended the Sully District Council of Citizens Associations meeting on June 17 and spoke out, encouraging Fairfax County citizens to speak at future Board of Supervisors meetings to oppose the proposed new casino.
“The casino issue is not dead,” said Horn. “Pressing” the Board of Supervisors ”is particularly timely.”
