The proposed Hudson Yards West development aims to breathe new life into the undeveloped western rail yards, a prime location that has long been overlooked. This ambitious $12 billion project will not only create a visually stunning addition to the city’s skyline but also deliver a comprehensive suite of amenities and opportunities, the company says.
The Hudson Yards West development will create 35,000 union construction jobs during the development phase, additionally, the Wynn New York City resort will offer 5,000 permanent union careers.
The centerpiece of the Hudson Yards West development is the stunning Hudson Green, a 5.6-acre public park that will serve as an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city. Comparable in size to Bryant Park, this green space will feature lush gardens, playgrounds, and a dog run.
In addition to the recreational amenities, the Hudson Yards West project will also contribute to the community’s well-being by providing 1,500 new housing units, including 324 affordable apartments. Furthermore, a new public K-8 school will be built.
