June sports betting winnings vaulted 67 percent from 2023 to $46.2 million. Wagers totaled $454 million, a 16 percent increase.

Out of the $46.2 million won, $14.6 million (32 percent) went back to players in the form of promotions, which are partially tax-exempt. Last year, that percentage was 41 percent. The hold was 10.2 percent.

DraftKings grew handle share to 34 percent, up from 28 percent, mainly at the expense of FanDuel. The latter went from 38 percent to 33 percent in the year. DraftKings’s handle was $156 million, FanDuel’s $151 million.

However, FanDuel prevailed in win, garnering $19.2 million to DraftKings’s $14.5 million. BetMGM was third, converting $52 million in handle to a $4.8 million win.

Caesars Sportsbook won $1.9 million on a handle of $29 million. ESPN Sports posted a handle of only $13 million, but held more tightly, turning out $1.1 million of revenue.

Bet365’s handle was $19 million for revenue of $1.7 million. BetRivers grossed $400,000 on handle of $5.2 million.
