Indiana’s 13 commercial casinos collected $187.9 million in revenue in October, the Indiana Gaming Commission has reported, up 7.6 percent from last October.

Hard Rock Northern Indiana led year-over-year growth, collecting an extra $6.1 million with $37.4 million in revenue, making up close to 20 percent of the state’s total. It is the third year in a row that the casino has led the state’s revenue. The casino opened its doors in May 2021, collecting almost $21 million in its inaugural month, ranking sixth in the state. The casino claimed the first place spot for the first time in October 2021 with almost $31 million in revenue. Before this, Horseshoe Hammond was the reigning champion.

It also was a positive month for sports betting, with Indiana bettors wagering a record $537.9 million. The total marks a jump of about 4.7 percent of the previous high of $513.7 million posted in November 2023. Ameristar Casino contributed the most to the sports betting handle, reporting $194.3 million in bets. The highest sports betting revenue came from Blue Chip Casino, contributing $13.5 million to the state’s monthly total of $35.2 million.
